Amazing, everything we tried was fantastic. They make their own sausages, the ravioli, meat pizza, veal, ribs, ice cream, tiramisu, unbelievable. I almost wish I was a local. It is a must try kind of place. Say hi to Jana, she was awesome.
Place has been around forever and always very good. Pizza has always remained consistently good over the decades. True story: Back in the 60's or early 70's, the old man (the owner, stocky, kind of built like a fire hydrant) once threw a biker who drive his Harley into the restaurant out the big front window. Then - he picked up the bike and threw that out the window. This is old San Diego Italian restaurant lore, yet true.
It's great food, nice atmosphere, I've been coming here since I was a kid. Cheese Tortellini with butter sauce and garlic.....
Home style Italian fare, serving good pasta, sandwiches and pizza. "East coast style service", which goes well with the ambiance and food. Classic 1980s' Ferrari poster by the restroom adds to the charm :)
This place is a favorite! The food is absolutely delicious, the employees are so friendly and attentive, and you get a lot for what you pay for. It's a mom and pop place, so nothing fancy decor wise. It's pretty outdated in that regard. This place is always packed, so you know it's good! The wait is never too long, though.
Hmmmm, THE BEST! Lasagnas good too. Not to expensive either. Great people, good food, nice place, Always happy on the inside when I leave, and very full! It don't get no better than this!
